Try giving them a personalized mug with a photo print of, for example, their pet.
Send me a few photos and I will make a collage out of them and print the entire mug. It is sublimation printing, which is very durable and the mugs can be washed in the dishwasher. However, for long-term color preservation, I recommend hand washing with a soft sponge.
